Job Title: Welder Fabricator/Machine Tech

Department: R & D
Reports To: Director of R & D

Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing a variety of welding and assembly functions. The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment. This position will perform other miscellaneous tasks as supervision deems necessary.

Essential Job Functions

  • Must have a working knowledge of machine tooling processes.
  • Hands on assemble of new and modified machinery and equipment.
  • Occasional assembly of pneumatic and hydraulic systems on machinery and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Mig, Tig, and Braze welding of machinery and equipment structures.
  • Maintain proper engineering files for machinery and equipment.
  • Complete and record proper forms (purchase orders, asset schedule procedures, etc.)in conjunction with purchasing and accounting departments.
  • Comply with all company quality, environmental and safety requirements.

Non-Essential Job Functions

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Must have mechanical design drawing skills.
  • Be able to read and interpret machine prints.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical assembly.
  • Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow directions and work harmoniously with supervisors and operators.
  • Ability to balance several projects and remain composed under pressure.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade school or other specialized training preferred
  • 5 or more years’ experience in Mechanical/Machine Assembly
