Machine Technician II

Department: Production Support
Reports To: Production Support Manager
Location: South Kansas City, MO

Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and process improvements on production equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform minor and major repair of all equipment
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, this includes electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic powered equipment
• Responsible for hands on assembly of new and modified machinery and equipment
• Monitors multiple projects while assuring compliance with approved methods and quality standards
• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
• Must comply with company and department rules and procedures

Requirements

• Team oriented and positive attitude
• Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow directions and work harmoniously with supervisors and operators
• Ability to balance several projects and remain composed under pressure
• Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical assembly
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Must maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures
  

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Technical degree preferred
