Location: South Kansas City, MO Plant

Position Overview

Recruiting position is responsible for collaborating with department managers to identify current and future hiring needs and develop a plan to attract, hire and retain the best employees through social media. Our Social Media Recruiter should have a solid understanding of all social media platforms and have excellent customer service skills.

Essential Job Functions

  • Source applicants through various methods this includes, posting internally, website, ads, recruiters, and staffing agencies.
  • Knowledge of social networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, Messenger chats, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube).
  • Be bold in creating new ideas to identify, engage, attract, and assess candidates.
  • Connect and engage with potential candidates on social media and professional networks.
  • Source and screen potential applicants for direct hire and temp-to-hire positions.
  • Partner with management to determine staffing needs.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Participate in the sourcing of staffing agencies and coordinate the necessary paperwork to set up as vendors.
  • Assist management with screening resumes and qualifications to determine suitability of candidates.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews cooperatively with hiring managers.
  • Inform candidates fully about the job and the company.
  • Assist management with extending offers of employment and rejections letters.
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel on employees start date.
  • Staffing orientation, this includes set up of conference room, food, materials, resources, coordinating schedule with managers and instructors.
  • Assist with new hire set up process.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding process.

Requirements

  • Strategic and creative searching, sourcing, and networking experience to build relationships with potential employees.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; comfortable with high degree of interaction with employee’s and management.
  • Self-motivated with an extremely strong sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility to adapt and change as priorities evolve in a rapidly growing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Outgoing, friendly, and warm personality.
  • Experience in using social media platforms to promote job opportunities.
  • Positive attitude with a great work ethic and ability to function well on a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

 Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree preferred but not required
  • 2 years of relevant work experience within Human Resources, preferably with a background in manufacturing recruiting/staffing.
