Ball Valves
A ball valve is a type of shutoff valve with a quarter-turn operation, used in plumbing systems to control the flow of water or other fluids. Ball valves operate using a spherical ball with a central bore. When the valve handle is aligned with the pipe, the bore is open and allows full flow. Rotating the handle 90 degrees turns the ball so that the bore is perpendicular to the flow path, shutting off the flow. Ball valves offer dependable sealing and straightforward operation, and are widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications due to their reliability, long service life, and ease of operation.
