Bowl Gaskets
Wax rings and bowl gaskets are sealing components used to create a watertight and gas-tight connection between a toilet outlet and the closet flange.
A wax ring is made of pliable wax that compresses to fill irregularities in the mating surfaces, forming a tight seal that prevents wastewater and sewer gas leaks.
A bowl gasket serves a similar function but is made from foam rubber. Gaskets are often reusable and less susceptible to deformation from temperature changes or misalignment during installation.
